This article is on How to make your pendrive bootable i.e bootable USB. By making a pendrive bootable you can install/re-install windows on any laptop or pc’s where CD-drive is not working.
- Windows image file on your hard disk
- UltraISO software (google it , get a cracked or patched one)
- Pendrive / USD drive – 2Gb for win XP and 4 Gb for Win 7
Insert pendrive in the USB port and format it. Now open the application UltraISO using administrative right. Now click on File -> Open -> select the image file you want to write and click open (image file must be present on your hard-disk).
After that click on “bootable” option and select “write disk image”. This will open a “Write Disk Image” interface box. Select the correct location of your USB device using the “Disk drive” option. Leave the rest setting unchanged. Click the “write” button. And “yes” for the next box which pops up. That’s it. Wait for the software to do its work. When the write is completed you have got your “bootable USB”.
Using UltraISO you can make disk image , burn disc image and it does not eat huge space and RAM.
PS: I am using UltraISO 188.8.131.5285
